Mental Health Conference

Last Thursday Miss Roberts, Mrs Gaynor and four children from Year 5 visited St Richard Reynolds Primary School.

During their visit they learnt all about good mental health as well as the challenges children may face. The four children have completed training and are now our Mental Health Ambassadors! They will be completing projects throughout the year to support the mental health of the children in our school. The four children are looking forward to starting their new roles and are excited to promote good mental health within our school.

The children had the following comments to make about their training:

"I enjoyed learning about anxiety and growth and having a fixed mind set. I enjoyed the part when we thought about the emotions we have."

"I enjoyed the whole experience but most of all I liked the made-up character, Charlie. I enjoyed reading about his life and talking about ways we could help him and what he could do to be happier."

"I enjoyed completing activities that showed us how to have good, positive mental health."
