School Development Plan
At St Edmund’s, we are committed to continually building on our successes and striving for excellence in every area of school life. Our School Development Plan sets out the key priorities that guide our work each year, ensuring that teaching and learning remain of the highest quality and that every child is supported to reach their full potential. It reflects our Catholic ethos, our ambition for all pupils, and our strong partnership with parents and the wider community.
School Improvement 2026/27
Quality of Education: To focus on English; improving standards in writing through the development of reading, spelling, grammar and comprehension. To ensure stimulus and texts for writing are exciting thus promoting greater progress and achievement in this subject area.
Behaviour and Attitudes: Embed Behaviour Policy in light of being an attachment aware school.
Personal Development: Children to have a voice through the range of pupil groups offered within the school.
Leadership: Review curriculum provision to ensure it enables pupils to learn and remember securely subject specific terminology.
EYFS: Focus on reviewing and developing excellent practice in all areas within the EYFS, particularly outside learning for the children.
