Parliament Week

To launch Parliament Week, we invited our local MP, Ruth Cadbury, to come and lead an assembly for the Juniors on Monday. Ruth is pictured with members of our school.

Ruth talked about how parliament works and her role as an MP. At the end of the assembly, the children were given the opportunity to ask Ruth some questions about the job of MP and how laws are made in the UK.

The children loved learning about some of the unusual facts about the House of Commons especially that each MP has a place to hang their sword!
