Travelling Crib

As part of our Advent activities, in preparation for Christmas, children in Nursery to Year 2 will bring home a nativity set for one night before it ‘travels’ onto the next family.

This gives each family a chance to prepare for Christmas by setting it up and talking about each character and the Christmas story. In this busy time of year, this is a moment to pause, reflect and take time as a family to remember the true meaning of Christmas.

The great lesson we learn from the crib is that the Good News is for all people, not just the rich, the powerful, the strong, nor the poor, the weak, the powerless but for all people. Everyone was welcome at the crib; everyone is welcome in to the presence of God.
