Admissions at St Edmund's
Welcome to the Admissions section at St Edmund’s, where we support you every step of the way as you consider joining our vibrant, faith-filled school community. We warmly welcome applications from families of all or no faiths and are delighted that you’re interested in exploring a place for your child with us.
Reception Admissions (Ages 4–5)
We are now accepting applications for Reception entry in September 2026. The closing date for applications is 15 January 2026.
You’ll find everything you need to apply, including our School Admission Policy, Supplementary Information Form, and useful guidance on how places are allocated on our Reception Admissions Page. We also provide information on appeals and support with parish documentation if required.
To fully experience our welcoming school, we encourage you to book a place on one of our Open Morning Tours, where you can see classrooms in action, meet staff, and explore our extensive grounds.
Nursery Admissions (Ages 3–4)
We are delighted that you are considering St Edmund’s for your child’s early years education. Applications for entry to Nursery in September 2026 are open now and must be completed by 2 March 2026.
To apply, please submit the Nursery Admissions Policy, Nursery Application Form, and School Admissions Privacy Notice. You will also need to provide proof of address and your child’s birth certificate or passport.
Our Nursery offers a nurturing introduction to school life, with funded and extended hours options designed to support families and give children a happy, stimulating start to their education. Further Nursery Admissions information can be found here.
In-Year Admissions (All Year Groups)
If your child is looking to join us outside of the usual Reception entry round, you can apply at any time through our In-Year Admissions process. This applies to Reception through to Year 6, whenever places are available.
To apply, complete the In-Year Admissions Application Form and send it to the Admissions Department at St Edmund’s. You must also submit the appropriate form to your local authority. We will assess your application in line with our admissions criteria, and if no places are available at that time, your child will be added to the waiting list.
