Secondary Transfer
At the age of eleven the children transfer to a number of different secondary schools. Each September, we hold an information session on secondary transfer to support parents with the process. This is usually in conjunction with the Y6 Transition Meeting at the start of the academic year.
We encourage parents of Year 5 children to visit the secondary school in which they may be interested without their children in the first instance, and to take their children to see a ‘short list’ of preferred secondary schools, for evening viewings, when their child is in Year 6.
In July 2025, we had 57 Year 6 pupils, who moved to the following schools:
