Catholic Schools Inspection Highlights
In December 2024, the Catholic Schools Inspectorate awarded St Edmund’s an “Outstanding” (Grade 1) across all inspected areas, including Catholic life and mission, religious education, and collective worship, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to excellence in Catholic education. The report praises our vibrant home–school–parish links, highlights the deeply nurturing and respectful relationships across the school that foster exemplary pupil behaviour and attitudes and commends our leadership for joyfully embodying our mission, "together we learn and grow through worship and celebration" and celebrates how we fully addressed all recommendations from our previous inspection.

Ofsted Inspection Highlights
In May 2022, Ofsted confirmed that St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School continues to be a “Good” school, applauding its welcoming, supportive atmosphere in which pupils “enjoy their learning,” “work hard,” and “are kept safe”. The report highlights our successful emphasis on building confident, articulate, considerate learners who benefit from a carefully structured, ambitious curriculum that builds knowledge securely over time. Significantly, the inspection commended how pupils are empowered to take leadership roles serving as school councillors, prefects, eco-warriors, and leaders of collective worship and noted how these opportunities foster responsibility and confidence
